JODI: Russia world’s 2nd largest oil producer in May
MOSCOW, Jul 16 (PRIME) -- Russia ranked the world’s second largest oil producer after the U.S. in May, returning from the third position of April, the Joint Organizations Data Initiative (JODI) said in a report on Thursday.
Russia’s oil output fell by 1.797 million barrels per day, or by 16.8%, on the month to 8.928 million barrels per day.
The U.S. produced 11.394 million barrels per day in April, down 5.5%. Saudi Arabia decreased its output by 29.3% to 8.486 million barrels per day.
